You all know I love mail, and what could be better than knowing you're going to get a box full of yarny goodies every month? PostStitch provides just that: a subscription box for knitters who love great quality yarn and notions.
I've never signed up for a monthly sock yarn club because the upfront cost always made me stumble. PostStitch brings you everything you need to make a project every month at a price that I think is super reasonable considering the quality of the goodies inside. Currently they have two options available: the BigStitch Box containing everything needed for a ladies' accessory project (starting at $60 a month) or the SockStitch Box containing everything needed for a sock project (starting at $40 a month).
PostStitch was kind enough to send me one of their BigStitch boxes for November, which just happens to be their first anniversary -- congrats, ladies! The box contained:
- 1 full size skein of Sweet Georgia Tough Love Sock
- Cherry Lane Cowl pattern by Felicia Lo
- ChiaoGoo Red Lace metal needles
- Stitch markers
- Elephant needle buddies
- One sew-in garment tag (with a bit of whimsy)
- Two care cards for gift knitting
- A single use packet of SOAK
- A discount code for a cross-stitch phone case
Including the cost of shipping, the box definitely contained more than $60 of goodies. I know that for some people the idea of being sent a box of yarn and notions blind, without knowing what the month's project will be, can be nerve-wracking. After looking over past projects here on PostStitch's website, I'm confident that their classic aesthetic would be pleasing to many different knitters' sensibilities.
In addition to their subscription boxes, PostStitch also sells yarn, project kits, and notions in their online store here!
Thank you to the ladies of PostStitch for giving Junkyarn viewers a generous discount on their new subscription to PostStitch! Looking for a great gift for a knitter friend or family member? Surprise them with PostStitch. I know at least one person who might be getting a subscription this holiday...
